Indoor endurance racing on the SkiErg, BikeErg and RowErg. Distance races anyone can enter, and Unbroken, a championship that runs until one athlete is left.
Formats
Every ERGMAN edition is built from the same formats, on the same three Concept2 machines, so a result in one city means the same thing in the next.
Unbroken
The championship. Ski, bike and row to the same target every round until one athlete is left. No distance and no time limit.
Unbroken Duo
Unbroken for pairs. Rules for sharing the round are published with the rulebook.
Distance
Timed races over a set distance: 5K, 10K and longer. The closest thing to a road race, indoors.
Tri
One race across all three machines, for time. Distances to be announced.
Until
one.
A bell starts each Unbroken round. In that round you ski, bike and row to a set target on each machine, then wait for the next bell. If you miss the target or stop, your race is over and the last round you completed is your result.
The race continues through the night if it has to. The athlete still finishing rounds at the end is that edition's Ergman.
